MVHR & Ventilation

Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery continuously supplies filtered fresh air while reclaiming most of the warmth from the air being extracted — essential in airtight, well-insulated buildings.

  1. 01ExtractStale, humid air is drawn from kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.
  2. 02RecoverA heat exchanger transfers warmth from outgoing air to incoming air.
  3. 03SupplyFiltered, tempered fresh air is delivered to living spaces and bedrooms.
How it works

Fresh air without losing the heat

Stale air is extracted from wet rooms and passed through a heat exchanger that warms incoming filtered fresh air before it reaches living spaces and bedrooms.

What you gain

  • Up to around 90% of ventilation heat recovered
  • Filtration of pollen and particulates
  • Controls condensation and humidity
  • Continuous fresh air without opening windows

What we deliver

  • Ventilation rate calculations to Part F
  • Unit selection, siting and acoustic attenuation
  • Rigid and semi-rigid ductwork design and installation
  • Terminal selection and architectural coordination
  • Commissioning, flow measurement and certification
  • Filter regimes and maintenance planning

Airtight new builds, passive-standard homes, apartments and deep retrofits.

How we work

Design to commissioning, one accountable contract

  1. 01

    Design

Heat loss and load calculations, system selection, plant room layout and coordination with the architect and structural team.

  2. 02

    Specification

Equipment selection, schematics, pipework and duct routing, and a costed mechanical package.

  3. 03

    Installation

First fix through second fix by our own engineers, sequenced with the main contractor's programme.

  4. 04

    Commissioning

Balancing, flow rates, controls setup, F-Gas checks and performance verification across every system.

  5. 05

    Handover & Support

O&M documentation, client demonstration, and ongoing servicing and maintenance.
